Morning all

The ‘little extras’ capital funding allocations have been published and can be found here:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/capital-allocations in tab 3b.

Additional message from DfE below:

Schools and other eligible institutions can spend this additional funding on capital projects to meet their own priorities. As we expect this funding will be spent on improvements rather than as part of major capital projects, and as the calculator published in December will have supported schools to plan ahead, we expect that schools will spend the money in financial year 2018–19. However, the normal terms of devolved formula capital (DFC) will apply, which provide flexibility for schools to spend the funding over the following 2 financial years if necessary.

These allocations are for individual schools, although in many cases payments will be routed via local authorities, dioceses or multi-academy trusts for them to pass on to schools, as with DFC. For any payments made to a local authority in respect of schools that have now converted to academies, the local authority should pass on the payments in the normal way, regardless of conversion status. The Department plans to make payments on 1 February.
