Colchester Sixth Form College provides broad and challenging academic education for 16–19 year olds, combined with excellent pastoral care and support, personal development opportunities and a fantastic range of wider activities. Every year well over 1,000 of our second-year students enter for A level examinations and the results achieved have been consistently excellent. Our International Baccalaureate students also consistently achieve an outstanding level of success, with their average IB points well above both the national and international averages.
Substantial numbers of leavers successfully attain the grades necessary to progress to degree courses, including large numbers progressing to some of the most competitive courses at the most sought after universities. To build upon such success we continue to offer the widest possible range of academic courses, but equally important, also offer a vast array of enrichment activities.
As a lively and vibrant community the College offers a range of clubs and societies, and the opportunity for students to get involved in a broad range of events. The College remains committed to delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of each student by offering each an individually crafted timetable and supporting him or her with a strong pastoral system and student support arrangements.
