Steve Jones, Howard Jacobson and Emma Smith launch new series of Hay Levels

Hay Festival unveils the third series of Hay Levels: an inspiring, free series of educational videos starring thought leaders from a range of disciplines, to stimulate students preparing for A Levels with a bank of free educational resources.

Videos will be released fortnightly from October to Christmas the Hay Levels YouTube channel (subscribe here) and shared across social media (#HayLevels), supplementing the growing bank of content already available on line.

Luton Sixth Form College marked its 50th birthday on Wednesday, September 7 with cake – lots of cake!

The college became the first such institution in the country when it opened its doors for the first time on 7th September, 1966.

Today, half a century on, the golden occasion was marked with the cutting of a special celebratory cake.

The honours were performed by the longest-serving member of staff, Allan Crosby, who has worked at the college for the last 42 years.

Poet Laureate opens new English and Modern Foreign Languages Centre at Godalming College

Godalming College was delighted to welcome Dame Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate to open its new English and Modern Foreign Languages Centre on Friday 23rd September. Students and guests were treated to a performance by Carol Ann accompanied by musician John Sampson, who toured with her Shore to Shore Tour in June and July this year.
