The SFCA Curriculum Conference will take place this year at Joseph Chamberlain College in Birmingham. The day will include a mixture of keynote addresses and discussion groups on curriculum reforms, teaching, learning and assessment. 

Keynote speakers include Sally Collier, Chief Regulator at Ofqual and Professor Bill Lucas, Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester.

Discussion group sessions include: 

  • Successful GCSE maths and English re-sit strategies
  • Getting ‘lean’ in the classroom
  • Internationalisation of the curriculum
  • Using applied general qualifications to stretch the most able students
  • Prevent duty and British values
  • SFCA Hub 6 – emerging findings
  • Core Maths Support Programme
